Stay healthy, stay fit by visiting one of the many Central Florida Senior Centers. Area centers have an abundance of programs, services and activities dedicated for Seniors (55+). In addition to keeping physically active, partaking in community activities is a great way to socialize with others, avoiding the seclusion that so many seniors often find themselves in.
The National Council on Aging notes that Senior Centers provide higher levels of health, increased social interaction and a greater overall life satisfaction.
You will find a number of facilities that are completely dedicated to active seniors in Seminole and Orange Counties. Most of the programs are free and open to the public. And, there is not a requirement that you need to live in the city or county where the services are offered.
