Beginning January 1, 2015, the tax rate in Seminole County will increase from 6 percent to 7 percent. This increase was approved with a 52% vote and will be in effect for 10 years, until December 31, 2025. The additional 1 percent increase is expected to generate $63 million in revenue each year which will be used for county school, stormwater and road projects.
