Things to do on Mother’s Day in Orlando

You don’t need a ton of money to treat mom this Mother’s Day. Below is a list of things you can do at a discount or for Free this Mother’s Day. Note, several offer free admission for mom only.   • Leu Gardens
    From 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Mom’s receive free admission to the gardens.
  • Orange County Regional History Center
    Free admission for mom at the History Center on Mother’s Day. While there, check out the current exhibit, ‘Threads of Our Lives, Celebrating 75 uears of weaving in Central Florida’. Call to confirm.
  • Central Florida Zoo
    Mom gets in free with a paid child’s admission on Mother’s Day. Call to confirm.
  • Bok Tower Gardens
    Free admission for Mom on Mother’s Day. Enjoy live Carillon concerts at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The weekend will also feature a huge plant sale.
  • SAK Comedy Lab
    A Mother’s Day tradition at SAK Comedy. A special Improv Show where mom gets free admission. On Sunday there will be three special shows, 3 pm, 5pm and 7:30 pm.
  • Casa Feliz Historc Home Museum
    With free admission for everyone every Sunday from noon till 3:00 pm, this is a great place to take mom this Mother’s Day. On May 14 2017 you can enjoy the music by Alborea Dances flamenco as you explore the historic home.
  • Mennello Museum of American Art
    Free Family fun day on the second Sunday of the month with a make-and-take craft table. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the beautiful outdoor gardens along Lake Formosa.
  • Mother’s Day Activities for Kids
    A full list of inexpensive gifts, crafts, cards and custom coupon books that kids can make for mom.

A little more expensive, but below are some unique ideas for treating Mom this Mother’s Day.

  • Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea
    Two seatings, 11 am and 2 pm for an afternoon tea at Infusion Tea in College Park.
  • Mother’s Day Cabaret Brunch
    Enjoy an afternoon or evening show during the Annual Orlando Cabaret Festival at the Mad Cow Theatre. It Was a Very Good Year, 1970 and 1980.Cabaret prices are $20 per ticket.
  • Mother’s Day Brunch and a Movie
    Celebrate mom with a Mother’s Day Brunch at the Enzian Theater. A special presentation of ‘Funny Face’ begins at noon. Doors open at 11:00 am for guests to enjoy a mimosa, live music by the Cook Trio and a full brunch. Check online for pricing.
  • Pinot’s Palette
    Spend some fun time with Mom while you paint Vintage Poppy during the 12 pm class. The 5 pm class will be painting Ocean Serenity Dusk. Wine and soft drinks are available for purchase.
  • Into the Woods
    The Tony Awards winner for Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical is presented at the Garden Theatre in beautiful Downtown Winter Garden. Show dates are May 4 through May 28, 2017.   • Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
    The final weeks of this year’s festival still packs in a full day of entertainment. Catch one of the Garden Rocks Concerts featuring the The Guess Who and enjoy one of the special festival events. Epcot daily admission price.
